October 2022 - COP meeting with DCCEEW, TERN and NRM Regions Australia

  • Introduction to the Standardising ecological monitoring protocols for improved data collection and decision making project, delivered by DCCEEW and TERN.
  • Overview of the role of TERN in the project and an introduction to key ecological monitoring requirements.
  • Overview of the findings of the 2020 scoping studies which identified monitoring needs to suit the Australian Government long-term monitoring programs.

October 2022 - NRM Regions Australia National Knowledge Conference, Margaret River

  • Launch of the Australian Government Long-term Monitoring Plan workshop and field trip to a stewardship property for demonstration of the developing modules, delivered by TERN and DCCEEW.

March 2023 - COP meeting with DCCEEW, TERN and NRM Regions Australia

  • Update on the progress of the 24 ecological monitoring modules, and field data collection app.
  • Overview of intended future project componets, including training and on-going support. 

July 2023 - Ecological Society of Australia Annual Conference, Darwin

July 2023 - TERN Science Symposium, Brisbane

  • Public release of the module documents on the TERN website.

EMSA Support is hosted by TERN on behalf of DCCEEW. Our team is located at The University of Adelaide, Waite Campus, Paratoo Road, Urrbrae, South Australia.
