    Hi EMSA Community,

Ready to host EMSA training in your region?

It has been two weeks since we wrapped up training in Shepparton, and our EMSA team are excited to begin planning for the second half of 2026. Because locals have the best regional knowledge, EMSA partners with a Host NRM group to select suitable venues for each training. Thank you to the regions have previously hosted EMSA training, and those who have already expressed interest in hosting in the future.

What to expect from 3-day EMSA training:

    • Demonstration of field data collection methods and techniques.
    • Demonstration of EMSA module dependencies and data workflows.

      • Hands-on layout of an EMSA plot; implementing some vegetation monitoring modules.
    • Discussion on how the EMSA protocols can be used by NRM projects .
    • Share additional resources and on-ground support.

We take expressions of interest from groups who can help us locate three key spaces:

    • Classroom location such as a function or large meeting room with A/V facilities.
    • Open outdoor space such as a field or sports oval, should be relatively flat (within 30 minutes of the classroom location).
    • Field site with groundcover, lower and upper story vegetation (also within 30 minutes of the classroom location).

The EMSA training team coordinate all attendee communication, registrations, and the on-ground logistics, and we are very grateful for host assistance in identifying and securing training locations. If your organisation is interested in securing a training session for your region, please contact the EMSA team by the 2nd June, to discuss becoming a Host NRM.
