    Hi EMSA Community,

Meet our Training and Help Desk team

You may have already met Ellen and Megan, the ecologists on the help desk team.  They have been answering help desk calls and emails, and delivering on-ground EMSA trainings around the country in 2025, and are now busy planning for 2026.

Luke and Jin are the EMSA help desk technical experts. In addition to helping with your technical Monitor questions, Luke and Jin work developing and updating the Monitor app and other EMSA tools.

You can get in contact with the help desk anytime via the EMSA Help Desk or at emsa_support@adelaide.edu.au

Ellen, Luke, Megan and Jin - the EMSA ecology and tech, training and help desk team.

    Training in 2026

We are looking forward to bringing EMSA training to more NRM regions across Australia this year. Dates for the first on-ground EMSA training in 2026 are:

    • ACT (Location TBC) - March 24-26
    • Shepparton (Vic) - April 28-30

Regions flagged for training later in the year:

    • NSW
    • NT
    • Southern Qld
    • WA (Broome region)

If you are interested in joining us at one of our upcoming field trainings, or hosting one in your region, please email emsa_support@adelaide.edu.au.

    Tech update

We have seen a large proportion of users successfully updating their Monitor apps, this is fantastic as it means benefits such as new features and bug fixes are flowing through.

We are working towards the Monitor app 1.0.10 release, scheduled to go live in the next few weeks. The main focus is on improving usability and performance, along with applying bug fixes. The release will have improved species search and will spend less time using the network when refreshing data.
