A new version of the Monitor app is now available.

    Build: production

    Version: 1.0.8

    Git Hash: e1055dd1

    Features

    • Editing data in the queue (limited protocol support); you can edit some types of queued data items before you sync them to the server
    • There is now a basic summary of data in the queue
    • Added a 'roads' map tile Layer to Plot Selection's Project Extent area and the general 'choose on map' widget
    • Improved the user interface (UI) to not allow adding a new entry/observation without saving the previous (in Floristics and Plant Tissue Vouchering)
    • Added some user-facing warning messages when the queue (i.e. data collections not yet synced with the server) passes a given threshold
    • Now shows accuracy information on plot layout maps
    • Users can now record the current location without opening the 'choose on map' dialog
    • The user interface now better distinguishes between nested elements and 'pops' them when they are in focus

    Fixes

    • Better handling deletion of Plant Tissue Vouchers
    • Better handling of 'select existing' Plot Layout when the Visit changes
    • Invertebrate Malaise 'start' step properly opens
    • Audio recordings are displaying in Profile summary
    • Plot Layout's 'plot aligned to grid’ now defaults to 'yes'
    • Don't allow closing visit if the plot data is still loading
    • Additional debug tools
    • More consistent formatting of date-times
    • Login rejection dialog for changing users works better on smaller-screen devices
    • Clearing a Floristics voucher picker removed it from user interface
    • Incorrect clearing of 'other' field for multi-select
    • Reduced false-positives for 'server is currently unavailable' message when app starts
    • Improved data handling when deleting a voucher when there's an unsaved record
    • Fire Severity allowed skipping the Fire Char Observation step
    • Herbivory Active did not always display search time when ending search
    • Failed/interrupted fetching of species lists on spotty networks is better handled

    Minor changes

    • Plot Selection Project Extent Area can edit points
    • Better indication of failed/skipped queue sync items
    • Ability to clear recorded barcodes
    • Barcode reader now only reads QR codes (improved performance and reliability)
    • Better formatting of error messages from backend (e.g., when synching)
    • Better user interface when closing visits
    • Improvements to the summary page when it references something in the queue
    • Added analytics events
    • Temporarily disabled the Opportune Quick Button (side-effect of another fix)
    • No longer switch summary tab automatically without user action

Please take a moment to update your Monitor app to Version 1.0.8. Make sure you have a stable internet connection for the update. You can view which version you are running on by going to the menu on the left of the Monitor screen and looking at the bottom of the list.

    Spring surveys are here!

Please get in touch via an EMSA Helpdesk ticket or phone call  (08) 8313 4122 if you need assistance using EMSA in the field. We are here to provide support for anything related to the Monitor app or EMSA modules.
