Exciting news!! - Monitor data download is now live
Your EMSA survey data is now available for download from the data set summary tab in MERIT.
- Survey data will become available for download approximately 30 minutes after successful syncing from the Monitor app. All earlier synced data is also available.
- To download your survey data from the Biodiversity Data Repository, click the download button in the “Actions” column for the relevant data set summary. You may select a GeoJSON file (to be opened with GIS software) or Turtle file (the graph database file). We anticipate that a CSV format for data download will be available by mid-2026.
- Survey data download is unavailable for the following EMSA modules:
- Plot Selection and Layout*
- Recruitment (Survivorship protocol)
- Camera Trapping
- Targeted Surveys (Metadata collection protocol)
- Vertebrate Fauna
- Invertebrate Fauna
- Fire Severity
- Soils
- *Plot Selection and Layout protocols are not surveys, so no data can be downloaded.
- EMSA plots can be viewed and downloaded from the MERIT sites tab. Surveys with no observations recorded cannot be downloaded at this time (the files will be empty). Data for the remaining modules will be made available soon.
- We have developed an EMSA data download user guide to assist you in accessing your data. This is available on the Document Downloads page of the EMSA website.
- Please contact the Long-term Monitoring team (ltmp@dcceew.gov.au) if you encounter any issues with downloads or need any additional support.
