New Policy on managing biodiversity data collected on private land (DCCEEW)
Last year (2024) DCCEEW held discussions about how data is shared and managed in the Biodiversity Data Repository (BDR). A small working group of interested NRMs was formed with DCCEEW and a couple of meetings were held. NRM input into those meetings was incredibly valuable to DCCEEW, culminating in the creation of a document summarising the Department’s position.
The document has now been endorsed by the Department and will be published on the Environmental Information Australia’s webpage - see Environmental information policy and guidance - DCCEEW.
A copy of the document is now on the EMSA website on the Download Documents page. If you have any questions about the document please contact the LMTP inbox: ltmp@dcceew.gov.au.
